However, what will remain is way more than globes and medals, it’s the legacy of having lifted an entire sport into new spheres. Hirscher went all in. Always stronger, always smarter, always faster, he turned everything into perfection. Not by talent, not by luck – but by hard work, will and the conviction that limits are made to be broken. No other World Cup racer passed so many hours challenging himself and his partners to improve and fine-tune his material. No other athlete had more detailed requirements for his Reusch racing gloves. Challenging everyone around him, Hirscher’s perfectionism constantly pushed the limits of what’s possible and finally set new standards in ski racing.
