What a start! What a sensation!

Alice Robinson wins the World Cup opening Giant Slalom in Sölden with an impressive performance ahead of superstar Mikaela Shiffrin and last year’s winner Tessa Worley, completing the Reusch podium.

After this historic result we are extremely happy to finally announce our long-term cooperation with Robinson who will be fully equipped with Reusch gloves and Reusch headwear.

As the newest member of the Reusch family, the 2019 World Junior Giant Slalom Champion is in the midst of a meteoric rise through the ranks of the FIS World Cup ski racing circuit, that has now peaked in her first ever World Cup victory. If Alice continues to progress at the same pace she has been maintaining over the last months, this 2001 born ski racing prodigy is going to be one of the main contenders for all big trophies for a very long time to come.

We are extremely excited to be partnering up with Alice and can’t wait for the next races and ski-battles with Shiffrin, Vlhová and all other Reusch girls!

Congrats to this outstanding season start and welcome to the family, Alice!

PETRA VLHOVÁ AND REUSCH SIGN LONG-TERM COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Two weeks ahead of the FIS Alpine World Cup start in Sölden, we are delighted to announce the contract renewal with Slovakian ski racer and reigning Giant Slalom World Champion Petra Vlhová until the year 2025.

As one of the big rising stars of the World Cup scene and after celebrating her best season so far with 5 World Cup victories, 3 World Championship medals (gold, silver and bronze) and finishing second in the Overall World Cup ranking, this season Petra is ready to take up the challenge for the ultimate coup: the Big Crystal Globe.

Asked about the reasons for the contract extension, Petra states: “To put it simply, there’s no better product around – the fit of the gloves is simply amazing. In combination with the excellent treatment and service I experienced over the last two seasons with Reusch, my decision was made very easy. I need reliable partners on my side in order to not worry about any material issues and be able to fully focus on my skiing. Reusch is definitely one of those partners and that’s why I’m super happy about the renewal of our long-term cooperation.”

Being part of the Reusch team since 2017, the Slovakian joins forces with the glove specialist for six more years to come. Together with Shiffrin, Kristoffersen, Pinturault as well as the World Cup rosters of Austria, France, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Slovenia and the USA, Vlhová forms yet again a dominating Reusch racing squad.

Erich Weitzmann, Reusch CEO: “We are very proud about the huge achievements of all athletes wearing Reusch gloves throughout the last years. With Reusch legends like Hirscher and Vonn having retired, a new generation of incredible athletes is now ready to step into the light and make their mark in the racing scene. Petra is without a doubt one of the most talented, ambitious and promising skiers around and we are very confident that she will compete as one of the world’s best for many years to come. That’s why we are more than happy about the long-term renewal of our cooperation. Her commitment to sign with us until 2025 shows deep trust from her side, which we are highly motivated to compensate with hard work and the best products on the market.”

The FIS Alpine World Cup season 2019/20 will be kicked off on October 26 and 27 with the traditional opening Giant Slalom races of both the men and ladies categories in Sölden, Austria.

Goodbye Marcel Hirscher: the greatest skier ever

15/9/2019

Yesterday’s goodbye is more than the end of a career, it’s the end of an era.

The era of the Greatest.

As the most successful alpine ski racer of all times, Marcel has won more important titles and trophies than any other skier before. However, what will remain is way more than globes and medals, it’s the legacy of having lifted an entire sport into new spheres.

Hirscher went all in.

Always stronger, always smarter, always faster, he turned everything into perfection.
Not by talent, not by luck – but by hard work, will and the conviction that limits are made to be broken. No other World Cup racer passed so many hours challenging himself and his partners to improve and fine-tune his material. No other athlete had more detailed requirements for his Reusch racing gloves. Challenging everyone around him, Hirscher’s perfectionism constantly pushed the limits of what’s possible and finally set new standards in ski racing.

We would like to thank Marcel from the bottom of our hearts. Not only for having been a highly professional, loyal and reliable Reusch testimonial throughout his entire ski racing career, but mostly also for always having challenged our products, creativity and know-how.
Because working with the best means learning from the best.
Hirscher’s influence helped us and our products to reach the next step.

Now on to new challenges away from the red and blue racing gates! Good luck Marcel for everything that is coming up next from the whole Reusch team!

Marcel will remain one of the main Reusch testimonials for the upcoming seasons and will continue collaborating with the Reusch product development team on his unique
Reusch Marcel Hirscher signature ski glove.

“I’m very excited and happy to be part of the Reusch family. The contract extension means a lot to me, as it allows me to not only make use of the world’s best ski gloves, but as well to collaborate with such a passionate and innovative company. Getting the chance to work on my own signature gloves is of course another highlight I’m looking forward to.”

Mikaela Shiffrin
GLOVE SPECIALIST EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH US-SUPERSTAR

Mikaela Shiffrin is the fastest female skier on earth. As reigning Olympic Champion, World Champion, Overall World Cup Winner and Slalom World Cup Winner she has already won all important trophies in ski racing. With only 23 years of age.

Ever since Mikaela was a teenager, Reusch has been her first and only glove choice – a successful cooperation going hand in hand from her first World Cup victory in Are 2012 to the Olympic year 2018, marking her most successful season so far.

Today, one month ahead of the 2018/19 World Cup season, we are extremely proud to announce the renewal of Mikaela’s long-term contract with Reusch and the extension of our close and very successful collaboration and partnership. As leading brand-testimonial Shiffrin will be using Reusch Racing gloves in competitions and will additionally also help developing her very own Reusch Mikaela Shiffrin signature gloves as part of the Reusch Matadors team.

Supporting the world’s best ski racers has always been a crucial and elementary factor in the Reusch brand communication. Since 1980 Reusch-supported athletes have won 63 out of 76 possible Overall World Cups, two of them won by Shiffrin.

The American superstar is one of the seven athletes forming the group of the Reusch Matadors. With Shiffrin, Hirscher, Vonn, Kristoffersen, Gut, Pinturault and Veith, Reusch gathered the world’s most successful ski racers in order to produce an extraordinary glove line with unique signature models developed in close collaboration with these seven legends on snow. The 2018/19 Reusch Mikaela Shiffrin signature glove is available in shops starting from October 2018.
